Location

Tucked away in a gorgeous natural setting off the main road, Rumah Purnama has been carefully designed and situated to provide a sense of shelter and privacy away from the hustle and bustle of Asian street life, but close enough to walk to some of Ubud’s trendiest dining spots, such as Dumbo, The Elefant, Uma Cucina, Naughty Nuris, Room 4 Dessert, and more.

Ubud center is 1.6 km away, which is 20-min walk or 5-min drive from Rumah Purnama. To explore Ubud and its surroundings, we can assist with a scooter rental or organise a private driver for you.

Uma Cucina Restaurant

Uma Cucina is an Italian-inspired restaurant and lounge bar at COMO Uma Ubud, Bali. Informal and convivial, with outdoor terraces and a large communal dining table at the heart of the space, Uma Cucina reflects the homely ‘kitchen’ spirit behind its name (‘cucina’ means kitchen in Italian). Menus are strong on fresh, locally-sourced produce and the flavours of Italy. Seasonal vegetables, seafood and slow-cooked meats are rendered in colourful, easygoing options, perfect for sharing with friends. House specialities include handmade pastas, woodfired pizzas and breads, as well as classic Italian gelatos and granitas..

Room 4 Dessert

On Jalan Sanggingan, or as literally nobody calls it, Ubud High Street, Chef Will Goldfarb and his merry band of kitchen, bar and service pranksters serve up a multi-course fiesta, nay, extravaganza – including pleasantly provocative cocktail pairings, and a dynamite bubbles list. The secret garden area, less secret now of course, provides the aromatic plants so essential to their programme.

Naughty Nuries

Many Balinese street side food vendors serve their food in a warungs, usually a modest shack or roadside lean-to with a small counter and a bench where customers sit and eat traditional dishes. The larger warungs are basically no-frills cafes, often fashioned out of modest materials like rattan and corrugated metal. An American expat, Brian Kenney Aldinger, and his Javanese amateur chef-wife, Isnuri Suryatmi, opened Naughty Nuri’s in Ubud around 1995.  Some might have considered this warung a hole in the wall fronted by a smoking barbecue grill.
